Be that a dismay, I enjoy its eggcorn coverage (lots more).
(Compare folk etymology, malapropism, and mondegreen.)

We were playing at dinner, eating edamame, at a game that this post reminded me of. It was something like this:
vigo: edamame (pronounced ada mom ay) edamame edamame.
erike: a what? a demomay? Is this the demamay?
    vigo: edamame.
erik: oh! ate a momay! Did you eat a momay? I ate a momay.
tracy: whose mommy did you eat?
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
